DGMGRL Switchover Issue: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

After switchover using DGMGRL standby database is not starting automatically.

Showing error like below,

DGMGRL> switchover to TEST;

Performing switchover NOW, please wait…
New primary database “test” is opening…
Operation requires shutdown of instance “prod” on database “prod”
Shutting down instance “prod”…
ORACLE instance shut down.
Operation requires startup of instance “prod” on database “prod”
Starting instance “prod”…
Unable to connect to database
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect
descriptor

Failed.
Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.

Please complete the following steps to finish switchover:
start up instance “prod” of database “prod”

Solution:

check the value of staticConnectIdentifier for primary & standby database

DGMGRL> show database PROD ‘StaticConnectIdentifier’;

StaticConnectIdentifier='(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=proddb.oracle.com)(PORT=1527))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=PROD_DGMGRL)(INSTANCE_NAME=prod)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))’;

DGMGRL> show database TEST ‘StaticConnectIdentifier’;

StaticConnectIdentifier='(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=testdb.oracle.com)(PORT=1527))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=TEST_DGMGRL)(INSTANCE_NAME=test)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))’;

Edit the service name value like below

edit database STHRDR set property ‘StaticConnectIdentifier’='(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=proddb.oracle.com)(PORT=1527))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=PROD)(INSTANCE_NAME=prod)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))’;

edit database HRDR set property ‘StaticConnectIdentifier’='(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=testdb.oracle.com)(PORT=1527))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=TEST)(INSTANCE_NAME=test)(SERVER=DEDICATED)))’;

Solution:

To check table has been locked or not:

select owner, table_name, stattype_locked
from dba_tab_statistics
where stattype_locked is not null

Unlock the particular table:

exec dbms_stats.unlock_table_stats(‘APPLSYS’,’FND_CP_GSM_IPC_AQTBL’);

exec dbms_stats.unlock_table_stats(‘APPLSYS’,’FND_SOA_JMS_IN’);

exec dbms_stats.unlock_table_stats(‘APPLSYS’,’FND_SOA_JMS_OUT’);

To check the Index status:

select INDEX_NAME,INDEX_TYPE,BLEVEL, STATUS, LAST_ANALYZED, OWNER from dba_indexes where
upper(index_name) like’%PA_PROJ_EVENTS%’

Rebuiding the particular index:

ALTER INDEX PJI.PJI_PA_PROJ_EVENTS_LOG_N1 REBUILD ONLINE;
